We had the BEST day when Emit’s Adventures came to visit us at the Charles Lea Center! 🐍🐾
They brought along some fluffy and slithery friends. Yep, snakes and lizards were among the pretty bunnies! It was like having a petting zoo come right to us, and we loved every minute of it.
The Emit’s Adventures team was so patient and kind, taking time to show us each animal and even letting us pet and hold them. Sending them a big thank you for bringing such a fun and unforgettable experience to our day! We can’t wait to have you back! 💚

Last week, the Charles Lea Center had an incredible group travel to the South Carolina State House for Disability Advocacy Day, and what an amazing experience it was! Our advocates showed up ready to be seen, heard, and make a difference.
We are so proud of everyone who participated and represented the voices of individuals with disabilities across our state.
Our Enabling Technology team was also there with a table set up, demonstrating how assistive technology helps individuals live more independently and safely in their homes and communities. It was a great opportunity to share the innovative ways we support independence every day!
